Statement: </h3> |

|
<p>REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and
Restriction of Chemicals) is a European Union Commission (EUC) Regulation on
chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006) entered into force on 01 June,
2007 and will be phased in until 2018. STI supports the basic aim of REACH in
improving the protection of human health and environment through the better
and earlier identification of intrinsic properties of chemical substances.
STI meets all applicable REACH requirements and is committed to providing our
customers with information about substances in its products as required.
Under REACH, registration of substances which are used in the manufacturing
of articles do not apply to STI operations. STI products are “articles” as
defined in REACH Article 3(3) and do not release substances under their
normal use. Suppliers of articles must provide recipients with information on
Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) if those are present above a
concentration limit of 0.1% on an article level. STI products do not contain
any of the currently listed SVHC’s. STI will continue to work with our
suppliers to ensure that all SVHC’s are notified to the European Chemicals
Agency, if necessary, to comply with the REACH requirement. STI assures its
customers that our products are in full compliance the EU REACH requirement. </p> |

<h3 class="text-left">STI’s Position on the
Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS): </h3>
|
|
|
<p>STI closely monitors developing RoHS legislation globally.
STI and STI products supplied by STI meet applicable RoHS requirements. STI
will ensure continuous compliance with applicable requirements, including
measures that amend or supersede those. STI supports the overall RoHS
legislation objective of contributing to the protection of human health and
the environment, including the environmentally sound recovery and disposal of
waste electrical and electronic equipment, and has a comprehensive compliance
program in place to help ensure that applicable obligations continue to be
met. STI is strongly committed to continue working with customers and its
supply chain to implement applicable RoHS requirements as they continue to evolve, and help ensure continuous compliance. Additionally,
STI works with electronics industry peers and other stakeholders to promote
common regulatory and industry approaches to RoHS compliance. </p> |

<h3 class="text-left">European Economic Area
(EEA) </h3> |
|
|
<p>STI products supplied by STI are in conformity with
applicable requirements of the European Union (EU)'s Directive on the
restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and
electronic equipment, commonly referred to as EU RoHS(2) or RoHS Recast, and
EEA national regulations. STI will ensure continuous compliance with
applicable requirements, including measures that amend or supersede those.</p> |
